This information was provided by Tim L regarding WHIMIS.  Please speak with your supervisor, as appropriate, if you would like to take this training.  Tim’s message is as follows: 
The training can be done from home if staff provide a home email address, there is no cost and the training is valid for 3 years.  I had one employee sign up yesterday and they received their credentials today so the OHS training team are monitoring the group email and responding in a timely manner.

Its important once staff complete the training and are assigned their certificate that they send a copy to 
OHS Training and to myself so the records can be up to date.

How to Register For WHMIS 2015 Training
The purpose of the WHMIS training is to provide education in all Canadian workplaces about hazardous materials and identifying hazards in the workplace. Understanding WHMIS 2015 is important for ensuring a healthy and safe work environment to which AAFC is committed. 
This training is done online and is self-paced which is followed by an exam. The final exam has a limit of three attempts so that the learner is able to achieve a passing score.   The Training is valid for 3 years.
For completing the training, please follow the steps below.
1.     Get Approval 
As an employee, please get your supervisor’s approval to begin this training.

** NOTE: Employees are NOT required to complete and submit the AAFC Training and Conference Application and Authorization Form

2.               Request the Training
Copy and paste the completed table below to OHS Training with the subject line “WHMIS”:
